Orlia Ross Hoover passed away Tuesday, July 19, 2011 at his home west of Sapulpa. He was 85 years of age. Orlia was born on August 2, 1925 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma to Mae Sherman-Hoover and Martin Hoover. Orlia married Nora Walker on June 10, 1946 in Bristow, Oklahoma. He worked as a truck driver in the oil fields for many years.
He is survived by his children: Sarah Lee of Grand Lake, OK; Tommy and Pat Hoover of Grand Lake; Jackie Hoover of Kiefer, OK; Jim and Donnie Hoover of Newkirk, OK; Alice and Jimmy Harris of Harlingen, TX; Lucile and Tony Taylor of Kiefer; Helen and Robert Halleimier of Yale, OK; Roger and Jackie Hoover of Lone Star, TX; Kim and Terry Coatney of Sapulpa, OK; Sandra Hoover of Sapulpa; Mark and Michelle Hoover of Sapulpa; Mike and Sue Hoover of Kellyville, OK. He is also survived by his brother, Bobby hoover of California and several grandchildren and great grandchildren. Orlia was preceded in death by his loving wife, Nora in 2007 and two children, Olin Roy and Kitty Lynn Hoover.
