Sorry for your family loss. I met my Uncle Otus one time in 1972 when my Dad and mother ( Bobbie Don and Georgia E. Owen) took us boys back to Arkansas and Oklahoma. I remember it a little. My grandfather was Otus's half brother I believe. My grandfather was James Otis Owen. I have some tapes my parents made of Grandpa Bill and Grandma Della singing. We were there when Grandpa Bill and Grandma Della were celebrating their 50th wedding anniversary.
I find family history very interesting and would like to hear if you all have stories about Grandpa and Grandma. I remember he preached in Glendale at the end.
My deepest thoughts go to all family.
Bobbie A Owen

I am the cousin of Otus and had the privilege of Otus and his wife stopping by for a visit not long ago when they had come to Clarksville to visit the cememtary in Lamar. It was such a pleasure to get to visit with the couple and wished we had another opportunity to visit with them. He had such a fresh memory of everything A lot of good memories we talke about. We will miss him and we send our prayers for his wife and family. He will be missed.

Sorry I will be unable to attend the memorial service on Wednesday but I have all of you in my prayers. Otis came to see me in Cherryvale, Kansas about 14 years ago and we had a very good visit going back from Oak Creek, Colorado in 1945 to the escort service he was involved in at the time. I had a number pictures from the snow in Oak Creek which he enjoyed very much. My dad thought he was one of the better truck drivers he knew and I also have pictures of Otis and dad on various construction projects.
