Jessie Fulks, 88 years of age, passed away Saturday morning, November 27, 2010 at the home of her sister-in-law, Nadine Gilbert.
Jessie was born September 10, 1922 to James and Mary (Cowen) Green in Old Towne Keystone, Oklahoma. Jessie worked and retired as a nurse's aide. She loved the outdoors and was always planting flowers or a garden. She liked riding her tractor, mowing her yard.
Reverend W.E. Warner married Jessie and Wesley Fulks on April 7, 1972 in Sapulpa, Oklahoma. They continued making their home together in Sapulpa for the next 31 years. She was a member of North Heights Free Will Baptist Church where she was baptized.
Jessie was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Wesley Fulks; sisters, Nora Jenson, Cora Wilcoxson, Stella Groves, Elsie Hickman and a brother, Arnold Cowen. Survivors are step-daughter, Sandra Ishmael of Sapulpa and step-son, Donald Ray Fulks of Sapulpa; step-grandsons, Jeffrey Swearengin and wife, Tammy of Tulsa and Marc Fulks and wife, Rosemary of Pawhuska; three step-great grandsons and one step-great granddaughter; brother, Grover Cowen of Arkansas; sister-in-law, Nadine Gilbert and several nieces and nephews.
The family would like to send special thanks to St. John Hospice nurses, Connie, Sharon, and Sue, and also to the chaplain and social workers.
